Character Consistency Prompt Patterns
Preserve recognizable character traits across viewpoints while keeping identity, pose, wardrobe, and scene instructions distinct.
For: Illustrators and story teams building an original character sheet
Write an identity anchor
Define stable visual traits once: silhouette, facial structure, palette, materials, and signature details. Keep temporary pose and background instructions outside that anchor.
Change one axis at a time
Generate front, profile, back, expression, and action views in controlled steps. Reuse an approved reference image and describe only the intended change for each step.
Protect real people and rights
Use original or licensed references. Do not imitate a real person, protected character, or artist identity without the rights and consent required for the intended use.
